In honor of DC Comics recent announcement that they will be expanding on the WATCHMEN Universe with “prequel” stories, I have decided to end “Bad@$$ Ladies!” week with BOTH Silk Spectre’s from “WATCHMEN”! .

I for one am VERY excited about this upcoming series of books. I know people find these characters to be “sacred” and that they should be left alone, but I wholeheartedly disagree. These characters need to be expanded on and the creative teams on these titles are amazing. I feel that DC owns these characters and having left them alone for 25 years is 25 years too long. Gibbons has given his blessing and that’s enough for me. Moore, an amazing writer, is also a well known disgruntled creator. I wish he would lighten up a bit. He’s a great talent but just way too angry about things he really can’t control. Granted, it’s one thing to be angry about Hollywood’s adaptions of things you’ve created, but aside from “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” (which lets be honest, is total shit), the other things he’s created and that have been made into films have been outstanding, WATCHMEN included. In fact, I prefer the film ending to the Comics. It works better for the outlet. This is my two cents on the subject. Looking forward to what these books will bring to the table.
